Every run is chip timed, but nobody gets swept off the course. Race it for a podium or jog it round with a nervous first-timer. Either way, you get a medal and your dog gets the dog wash.

No kit, no race
A harness made for pulling, a bungee line and a proper canicross waistbelt. Not sure about yours? Ask at the kit stand.
Reactive dogs
You're welcome here
Seeded starts give you space. We ask for a basket muzzle, which still lets your dog pant and drink.
Three ways to go home with something. The same on both distances.

Fettle's Choice
Our favourite team of the day, and entirely our call. A cracking run, how far you've come in training, or being brave enough to enter. Times don't come into it.
Photographer and videographer on the course. Photos are free to view, and you can buy your own copies from the photographer.
Why we're doing this
Too many race days are a car park, a start line and a drive home. We wanted one that feels like an event: well run from the first email to the last finisher, and somewhere you actually want to stay once your dog's had a wash.
We make food for dogs that work, and Fettle Trails is our chance to champion them and the people who put the miles in alongside them. Come for the race. Stay to talk feeding, training and recovery with people who care as much as you do.
